Thanksgiving and the wild turkeys are out in full force – bomb around this fun segment and get bonus points for photos of them along the way!

Harvest your quads: -It’s harvest time… pumpkins, squash, and your quads (and glutes and hammies) put em to the test on this really hilly course!

  • Left on Switchback
  • Left on Giap
  • Left down Paradis (ski run)
  • Around chairlift and up North American (ski run)
  • Around chairlift and left down Skyway (ski run)
  • Veer right onto the connector trail as Skyway converges with Sparks
  • Left on Canadian (ski run) down to the bottom
  • Right around chairlift and straight, all the way up Heggdeveit
  • Right around the building
  • Straight down Sparks (ski run)
  • Veer left off Sparks onto Humdinger Road
  • Follow Humdinger all the way to the Chalet at the bottom

This run has all the components of a good Teen Screamer – Leaf Zombies, scandalous trail names, the death of mans best friend and a solid chance you end up running in the the woods. Will you make make it out alive? Or will you rue (in) the day you signed up for this challenge?

Instructions:

**WARNING** None of these trails are marked. Navigation devices necessary/strongly recommended. Several river crossing and potential slippery/spooky leaf sightings involved. Not for the faint of heart!

  1. Dodge the leaf zombies and their dogs to start at the trail head just past Carbide Wilson ruins.
  2. Like any good Teen Screamer, we’ll start with gratuitous nudity along “Multiple O”.
  3. Follow “multiple O”, making sure to skip right by foreplay (it’s marked with a gian FP in orange spray paint, go left at that junction), until you get to a little “Bypass” trail. If you hit a small lake you’ve gone too far. You might spot a piece of white ribbon with blue circles marking the entry.
  4. Follow the “Bypass” trail to Powerline for some beautiful running.
  5. After about 1.8 km, start looking for “Dead dog”. This ghostly trail is not only unmarked, it’s rarely used and hard to see. The trail head starts just before a small waterfall/stream crossing. You’ll see it on your left (maybe). Follow the ghostly trail through the woods, keeping to the left of the river.
  6. Follow the “Dead Dog” back to M.O, taking it back to the Ruins.

How fast can you accumulate 1000m+? It’s halloween, you might as well do it in a costume!!
