My Coaching Philosophy

Building a habit can be challenging! I am here to support you in starting or maintaining the habit of strength training to support your running. I want to meet you where you are, and support you in your strength training goals, whatever they may be!

I believe that it's the consistent effort towards our goals that makes a big difference over time.

Don't forget to look back on how far you have come!

Interview

  • Favourite quote?

“The best learning experiences come from being pushed outside of your comfort zone. So whenever you run into difficulty, it means it’s time to grow in a new way”

  • Favourite single race?

Royal Victoria Marathon was such an amazing race. I did strength training consistently throughout my build, and I felt strong on those rolling hills.

  • What got you into running?

After gyms closed down during the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to keep up my exercise routine. From there, I started doing a run-walk program, and slowly increasing the distances I ran. I can still remember finishing my first 10km!

  • Favourite workout?

A full-body strength workout with movements like hip hinge, squat, pull, or push. For running, definitely partner 400s.

  • Favourite post-race meal?

    Lasagna, hands down.

  • Most memorable coaching moment?

Seeing my athletes look back on their first week of strength training and realize how far they have come. And a close second is when one of my athletes said their form feels stronger after completing a strength training program.
